B and R Dairy Bar in Gray

I mean, we love the place and wanted to take my grandparents. Showed up around 8:45ish on a Saturday and they were closed! We were super disappointed because according to Google they should have been open.Update: We called and apparently they don’t have access to their Google page anymore and they do close at 8pm on Saturdays.

great ice cream fast service only complaint the cotton candy hard serve just tastes like sweet cream. Otherwise I've tried all the hard serve options and they're all great especially the ones with chunks like pistachio has lots of actual chunks the pistachio has whole and half pistachio nuts its amazing!

I got my niece ice cream here and it got all over my back seats.

Large portions, fair prices, quick service

It's not at a bad location, right in downtown Gray Plaza. The downside is they only take cash, no card, and it tastes as if some of the ice creams are watered down for extended life and more profit. The taste of Black Raspberry is not supposed to mimic vanilla....

Great ice cream, the cookie sandwiches are giant! Staff is always friendly and courteous.

The hard serve was like soft serve. Love grapenut. It was clumps of the cereal not throughout. Good thing we was just passing through. Not a place to go out of your way for.

ENORMOUS portions of decent ice cream, with a good selection of flavors and options. Appropriate social distancing - thank you for that. Wish the location was a little more pleasant than a parking lot...it would be nice to be able to hang out for a bit.

We go here for the home made ice cream. Needums ice cream is my fav. They have a nice area to sit and eat.

Whipped cream and icecream was melted as soon as I got it when I ordered at the window.. also prices were outraged. Don't think I'll order ever again..

Everything tasted great. Order was wrong but we kept it. Person after us had a messed up order too. But they kept it. All was good anyway 🍦

They have a wicked cute building and the ice cream was sooooo good. They were very nice and we are definitely coming back for more!

I have been to many ice cream places but this one is definitely in the top. They had a delicious assortment of soft and hard serve ice cream. They also have low calorie froyo for people a little more health conscience. The staff are extremely sweet and patient. Just be aware it is CASH ONLY.Will go back!

This place is excellent and we go here often from opening day in the spring right up to last day in the fall. Don't be fooled by their small cones, they are not really small they are actually pretty large even for an adult. I have never gotten a med or large cone or dish of ice cream here. Small is really an ample amount here. I recommend this place and they have a huge menu of frozen yogurt, soft serve and an old fashioned hard ice cream in a ton of flavors. At the present time you order online at their website bandrdairybar.com. I drive to the parking lot there and go to their website and order. I wait in the car and they send an email when your order is ready, then just go to the window with the order number and claim your order. The girls here are actually great! You won't be disappointed with the B & R Dairy Bar!

Best hard-serve around! They make all their own, so you can't get it just anywhere. Very tasty, and for varieties with brownies or PB cups, you get some satisfyingly big chunks. Prices are reasonable, and servings are generous enough we usually get a small for adults and baby for kids. The ice cream itself is not over-sugared like certain other places. There are always a couple dozen flavors to choose from, as well as shakes, floats and soft-serve, too. For seating, they have a couple of picnic tables and some plastic Adirondack chairs. Our family favorite!

The kids loved it and so did I. Coffee Brownie ice cream is fantastic. Their special "The Patriot" was a very pleasant surprise. Great all around, We will be back. Cash Only.

Great ice cream but CHEAP cups. Stop buying cheap styrofoam cups that split easily when you’re trying to drink a shake or slushy. STOP BEING CHEAP and I’ll easily pay for your pricier-than-other-places ice cream. These cheap af cups don’t work well with kids.

I worked here for over 6 years and loved every minute of it! The ice cream is some of the best I've ever had, and I always enjoyed working with my co-workers and the owners. I still miss working there even though I had to leave in 2013 because I moved to Washington, DC. My advice for best original flavor:Needham - coconut based ice-cream with coconut shreds and chocolate chips - it is out of this world!But if you like something more classic:Mint Chocolate Chipor Coffee Oreo!This place is such a hidden treasure!

B and R is great! Friendly, efficient staff make a summer time treat just perfect! The variety of hard and soft serve plus lots of novelty items make selection great. Cash only with an ATM in the parking lot.

Ignore the online ordering only! You will wait 20+ minutes while they serve people who lineup and order at the window. Great ice cream though.
